By yourself

Your dropped into a mission, you have certain equipment you were given for that particular level. And you're given a specific objective. You are also given 50 rounds for your SC-20K M.A.W.S. (you get this gun later on in the game) the pistil you will have 40 bullets, use them wisely, once your out your screwed, then your really going to have to think stealth. That's why you have to use your stealth-based thinking to get by enemies and use your gun later on when you need it persistently. You will also get other equipment/weaponry to help you along the way. Such as the Cameras, which I talked about earlier, you also get other equipment such as; Gas Grenade, Distraction Camera, SC Pistol, Lock Pick, Laser Microphone, camera Jammer, Optic Cable, Disposable Pick, Wall Mine, Chemical flare, Emergency flare, Frag Grenade, Medical Kit, Bullet box.
Not having any guidance other than a few clues might make you mad and frustrated. But Splinter Cell even has an answer to that. When you're simply looking around for what to do next, you have to be mindful of your surroundings as well as your stealth meter and enemies

Graphics
That graphics are very impressive, as you should know by know the lighting effects are very impressive, such as when the light from outside streams in an open window and casts light on the wall. Another very good effect is when Sam bumps the curtain they move as if they were in real live, very well done. Also the shadows from different objects are truly phenomenal! Ubi Soft Montreal has simulated the behavior of light to the point where everything is self-shadowing. You will always know where the light is coming from. The light shines through fences, latticework, and trees. The shadowing adds true depth to the environment and makes you believe your really there.

Same Fisher is rendered brilliantly even though his suit is stealth black from bottom to the top. When you take the time to look, you can see his equipment straps and pouches drawn in exquisite detail right down to the snaps and buckles. Sam's lips even move when he's talking to Lambert etc. You can even notice emotions creeping across his face if the camera is in the right position. Even the enemies are rendered very well. Even when you die you can see them talking on there radios talking and saying "Make sure he's dead". They look nearly as good as Sam himself. Sam moves with more fennecs and moves very stealthy like and cunning. Sam can rappel down ropes and even slide down quickly like a SWAT team member by lunging away from the building with both legs. The graphics are just plain exhilarating!

Sound
Every sound can be heard in Splinter cell. Sam's feet moving along a wooden floor or climbing up a later, anything Sam steps on you can hear. You can hear fearless enemies sleeping and moving about on the upper floor. The guns shots sound crisp, its like you can guess the direction they are coming from. The voice acting cant get any better, except for the 24-hour news program that is displayed after every mission. In the CIA head quarters you can hear the agencies talking to themselves.
