Halo 2, the long awaited game to the sequel Halo: Combat evolved is finnaly here. Halo 2 was released on November 9, with many fans waiting to get there hands on it. Having over 1.5 million pre-orders and hundreds of thousands of sales. Halo 2 brought in over $100 million in the first day alone. This may just be 2004's most anticipated game, so how did it stack up?

Various new weapons join this game as well as some old ones. Two of my favorites are the covenant carbine (a big gun that shoots rapid green balls) and the energy sword (a nice looking plasma sword). A weapon that goes good with Master Chief is the SMG (an automatic machine gun) and is very good when fighting all the covenant. Speaking of weapons, there is a great new feature that allows you to dual-wield two guns. Having this option is very useful and comes in handy. It makes Master Chief look kick ass and is also better when dueling multiple covenant.

Now I guess you're wondering how the campaign mode is? Starting out in the campaign mode you will notice some very good cinematic cut scenes. The cut scenes have very good CGI and make the game more exciting and more movie like. The graphics have dramatically improved in Halo 2 and have a lot more detail. Again, as before, this game is non-stop action; so there is never a moment where you're not killing someone. Master Chiefs suit has improved; his energy shield loads a lot faster than in the first Halo, adding more to the game. You can also use your built in binoculars to see far away opponents. Master Chiefs suit looks a lot better and not so blocky as before. The details in his suit are amazing, his helmet looks great and he looks more built. In the campaign mode something that will help you out in the game would be that you could take a soldiers weapon. All this is great but how long is it to beat the game? Halo 2 has plenty of exciting new levels and features. It depends how much of a Halo freak you are, to determine how long it will take to beat it. No matter if you are new to Halo or play it everyday this game promises to be an adventure for you. This game will lead you into an action packed, fun filled journey to saving earth.
